Last week we concluded exploring Julia Donaldson books with the fantastic Stick man, leading us in to the festive season. The children either worked in pairs or independently to use recycled materials and paint, to create their very own Stick men! There was some wonderful teamwork and communication, and we think the results are great!

Last week we set up a new 'Builder's workshop' corner where the children have been dressing up in hard hats and high vis jackets, planning, mark making and building together.
The staff have all been really impressed with the children's developing story language and their enthusiastic retellings of The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson this week. We have also had some wonderful show and tell brought in including Gruffalo teddies, books, slippers and dressing gowns!
Last week the children took part in lots of activities to try and support them in being considerate of others with additional needs- for example, we played games that involved being blindfolded for the children to experience what it is like not being able to see. We had lots of Pudsey teddy bears hidden around pre-school, we designed Pudsey masks, made and decorated Pudsey biscuits and we also had fun dressing up on Friday. In total we raised £141 for Children in Need, and would like to thank our families for their support and donations.
