  • Christmas Cards

Christmas isn't far away and the children at Pre-School have been busy designing their very own christmas cards. We can then send these cards off to a company called Art Projects for Schools where they can turn your childs creation into a christmas card (as well as other items such as wrapping paper) which can then be sent off to family and friends!

As well as this, for each item you purchase, the Pre-School will recieve some commission, which will further help us with fundraising.

The deadline for placing orders is the midnight on the 29th of October, so please let us know if you would like any further information before this date. You should have already recieved some information on how to place orders, but do let us know if you have any questions.

  • Autumn Activities

This week all the children have been busy with various craft activities, all with an autumn theme. They have been creating/decorating autumn themed wreaths using lots of different materials that some of the children gathered at home and brought in for us to use. Lots of conkers were gathered, so the children helped us to drill holes through them in order to create some conker animals! As we had so many, we also created a really long conker "snake" by threading string through them.

  • Autumn has arrived

Autumn has definitely arrived and we thought Hector the Hedgehog would like to experience a bit of Autumn himself. In the tough spot tray we gathered a selection of leaves, acorns, conkers and some spiky sweet chesnuts, and then allowed Hector to have a little explore. His nose was busy smelling all the new smells and he seemed to enjoy rustling through the leaves. The children found it fun to watch him burying himself under the leaves and got magnifying glasses to take a closer look

  • Fundraising Ideas

We are starting to look at ways in which we can both raise money and save money. We will soon be setting up a "Wishing Window" (previously called a "Giving Tree") at the Pre-School to allow people to donate items we need if they would like to. The Wishing Window will be a display that is able to be seen through the window and will show various items we could make use of, for example cotton wool balls. If you wish to donate an item, you can take a look at the display and select an item from there. Any donations will be greatly appreciated.

Further to this, we have recently signed up to Amazon Smile. If you shop through this link, Amazon will donate a small proportion of the profits (of eligible purchases) to us. It doesn't cost you any extra, and so any purchases made through Amazon Smile would be greatly appreciated. It is no different to using Amazon itself, and can also be enabled through the settings of the Amazon app if you use it. The link for Amazon Smile is below:
