  • New Year, New beginnings!

A warm welcome back to our children and families.

We have been very busy in Pre-School already, we are learning to recognise letters with Jolly Phonics. We are learning the letters s, a, t and p this term through songs and activities.
So far, we've created snake print pictures using corn on the cobs, explored textures with apples and avocados, and painted Winter trees using our observations and knowledge of changes over time.

  • I'm Stick man, that's me!

Last week we concluded exploring Julia Donaldson books with the fantastic Stick man, leading us in to the festive season. The children either worked in pairs or independently to use recycled materials and paint, to create their very own Stick men! There was some wonderful teamwork and communication, and we think the results are great!

  • Children in Need

Last week the children took part in lots of activities to try and support them in being considerate of others with additional needs- for example, we played games that involved being blindfolded for the children to experience what it is like not being able to see. We had lots of Pudsey teddy bears hidden around pre-school, we designed Pudsey masks, made and decorated Pudsey biscuits and we also had fun dressing up on Friday. In total we raised £141 for Children in Need, and would like to thank our families for their support and donations.
